DTM - Brands Hatch 2012 - Analysis

DTM - Lausitzring 2012 - Analysis

DTM - Lausitzring 2012 - Preliminary Report

Just a week after the season opener at Hockenheim it's been on the Second Brandenburg Lausitzring totaling only 10 DTM championship races at the start. The Lausitzring has a much different track than Hockenheim and consists of a very fast section of the super speedway and a twisty section in the "infield" of the Super Speedway.
The Lausitzring was designed as a high-speed track for the American Indycar-/CART-Serie, which unfortunately has appeared only twice in the Lausitz. The first appearance of the CART series should have stopped many of the serious accident of the two-time CART champion Alex Zanardi in memory. The course offers the 2-mile Superspeedway and the Grand Prix circuit including a DEKRA test track, a motocross track and a 11.3-km-long route. The DTM will use a variation of the 3.4 kilometer Grand Prix circuit, without the big banked corner of Turn 1 Superspeedway since it came here in 2003 to punctures in some DTM cars.

DTM - Hockenheim 2012 - Analysis

The first DTM race of the "new generation" promised by a new manufacturer and new regulations, more variety and excitement as in previous years.
