Formula One: Sauber C31 pictures

Are no big surprises at Sauber, at least when it comes to cars. Behind the scenes, however, is doing something.

Somewhat stunned Formula One has taken the world that lead designer James Key has left the team with immediate effect. The reasons behind his departure are not clear, but the team announced that the position is not filled. Already last year, Peter Sauber had intimated that with the work of Key was not always satisfied. Although Sauber showed a couple of good races and the year was out without a blown diffuser, the World Cup result after Force India has been somewhat disappointing. You should have a hair can also happen Toro Rosso. Key will have a working lock in its resolution agreement, which will probably take a couple of months. I'm sure that he will soon appear in another team.

How much work by Key in the new car is hard to tell lies, but he may have a significant presence, as it had begun in the summer with the development. Really surprising features of the C31 not. The nose has a strong level, the side pods have fallen rather conventional. Striking is the second opening below the air scoop for the engine. However, it may be also there that the KERS is being ventilated. The illustrated rear looks almost a little incomplete. The exhaust tips look a little unkind of the fairing. You will not tire direction, yet pulled toward the rear wing. As always, but again, that's probably only a preview release. Most teams will work in the tests with different rear panels. In contrast to the STR7 Toro Rosso I lack the C31 this year a couple of clever details. Alllerdings - this year it's probably more about what you do with the air under the car.
