DTM / WTCC / BTCC & Formula Series Oschersleben Preview / Valencia / Donington
Again a full touring program over the weekend. Especially in the BTCC, it should properly go to the point.

DTM Oschersleben and the - that may not fit properly because of the narrow track near Magdeburg you can not really get over. Nevertheless, the races are often better here than one would expect, which is also due to the distance hardly forgives mistakes. Unlike the more modern circular courses, one off the track here has little asphalt and when departing, then what is usually broken. The starting position in the championship is not it really exciting. Mercedes has the title virtually in the bag, the only question is which driver is at the front end. Spengler, di Resta and Gary Paffett are the candidates to be dealt with. And since everything is clear for Mercedes, it would be nice to see times when the three were free ride.

But any implied war, in addition to the tour in the car sometimes welcome "lean" in the DTM is suppressed completely, unfortunately. On the one hand by the "racing line", on the other hand, it also sees Mercedes does not like when the driver's box of the course. That does not fit the brand image, so you can probably assume that there will be clear agreements. For the purpose of "The positions are held for the next pit stop." But the hope is dying last.

In the Audi camp, the disappointment will last for two championships in a row within limits. It is still possible to focus on winning, which in Oschersleben is already quite possible, because the Audi on tight tracks a little better. The rather low average speed should not burden the front wheel of the Audi too.

Behind the scenes of the DTM, it's obviously been the first dissonance between Mercedes / BMW and the ITR. The Stuttgart are reportedly irritated by the people of Munich, who want to turn with new demands, the control element in their direction. This should then also be the reason why the whole process at the moment has come to hold and one in the direction GrandAm JapanGT and not progressing. Whether it comes with a dispute over technical rules and monetary affairs, did you not tell me. Only so much that BMW will be very drowsy and a final decision could even fall in November, so in the month in which the program like BMW announces the coming year.

Whether all this is true then it is another matter. However, it's extraordinary that you hear absolutely nothing from BMW and the final decision to get out more and more reluctant. I had heard in July that it is still in Munich, not at all convinced of the DTM, presented primarily by the ACO for the Le Mans and the World Cup in disguise named Intercontinental Cup Natel appropriate GT rules. BMW is already in this year an M3 in the Cup and the competition with Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin fits into the already sporty concept. At the M3 is the fully developed (so far) a) cheaper and b) you can sell it to customers, if you wish.

BTCC
The British series is making its first appearance on the unreconstructed, but re-opened course at Donington. Has not performed after the one already started rebuilding the track, it will be interesting to see what exactly they demolished everything meaningless and newly-built or has not. Driving is definitely on the "big" loop, so you take the hook with the hairpin. The track is very fast and is expected to Chevy, Ford and BMW favor. Despite the braking of the Fiesta is still going like hell, the high-speed passages should Onslow-Cole and Chilton are so. Yet I see the Cruze front of this should simply have the best package. Difficult it is for Honda, despite lacking some of the new engine at top speed. Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden will try to keep the damage as much as possible.

In the championship is indeed Plato further forward, but his lead is thin.

Jason Plato 202
Matt Neal 182
Tom Onslow-Cole 178
Gordon Shedden 169

Shedden will have to drive for Neal, Chilton, Onslow-Cole for what is a surprise, since one Cole was not expecting so much. Since it is the penultimate stop on the calendar, one can expect a wild weekend. As usual, the discussions at the water-carriers at the last race is always something fierce. Should keep an eye on you and not the BMW that might annoy at Donington one or two championship favorites.

The BTCC has shown the first drawings of the new NGTC. There are pictures below.

WTCC
The gentlemen of the WTCC are on the lame line of Valencia, which has so far brought little good race for touring cars. Why not move somewhere else again in front of empty stands, is also one of the many mysteries of the championship. Seat is the home race, so are likely to be very aggressive, especially after his jet-black Tarquini urgently weekend in Oschersleben need points if he still wants to catch Yvan Muller. BMW, which have so surprisingly, even really big chance at the title, you should not be underestimated. I am really pleased that the team does to Bart Mampaey there, because the concept of the 320si is not longer just known to date, the problems with the top speed and engine performance. It is surprising that they are still in the race.

Behind the scenes at the moment it's about who's in 2011 as a factory team with it. BMW supplies in any case a motor and a kit for interested customers, but the decision is a work still in use (see DTM). Seat is supposedly this year, quite a silly game to the "non-business use, but is a" stop and re-occur as a brand. The VW group is keen to use the new 1.6 liter engine in as many race series. Yes do you do with Skoda in the WRC, followed by other series are. The Seat brand needs the race rather than VW, even if there still is nothing officially decided, since you can sort the entire motor sport coordination through the purchase of new Porsche. What is clear is that VW will invest more than ever in motorsports.

They hope organizer, that Nissan and Toyota enter 2012 at the latest in the world championship. Sure is one but apparently not, because you have now made it clear that 2011 will be allowed to start with the old motor in the series, because you probably afraid that you could lose a number of private teams and the field thins out then too.

I do not quite know what to expect from the race. The route is mentioned in passing not very great things, even if it is demanding on the drivers when it comes to a fast lap. Chevy seems likely in the BTCC, the best package to have, so that his two-car front. Rob Huff has 10 seats in Valencia back, because of its Startchrash with Farfus and because he has pushed a seat in the second race of the track. I hope to be back in Valencia race stewards reasonable here.

Formula Series
As my colleague caution on holiday tired and I have little time, only a summary in the form of news

- Pastor Maldonado's GP2 champion, which was to be expected. He has convinced me that the season was funny anyway. "Wunderkind" Jules Bianchi went under and had to be totally humiliated regularly by his team-mates Sam Bird can. Maldonado is now not just a great talent, you probably will not see him so quickly in Formula One.

- By far the best scene in Monza Christian Vietoris delivered at the start of the second race when he made the third row starting everything and everyone left behind.

You can see that something rather rare. Vietoris also has a rather flat ones season behind him, is brought in next year in conjunction with ART or Addax.

- In the GP3 is Esteban Gutiérrez champion. To be the greatest talent from Mexico since the Rodriguez brothers described nineteen year old had the season with five wins and four other podium finishes in the relatively loose grip. And, although the starting grid with Rossi, Wickens, Jakes, Tambay or van der Zande was very well cast. Logically, it is now rising to a class and will probably go on for ART.

- On the final weekend of the second formula increases The championship Dean "the new Mansell" Stoneman actually relatively safe in your pocket. Palmer has completely messed up Joylon especially the last race in Oschersleben and now lies 31 points behind Stoneman. Because to get on a weekend are theoretically 50 points, but he has another chance. As Stoneman has made this year but virtually no errors, it would be hard to catch him yet. He was also the year the total of more aggressive appearance.

- The F3 Euro Series at the weekend in Oschersleben. Here Edoardo Mortara leads with 24 points ahead of lush Marco Wittman. Since one can achieve on a race weekend more than 17 points, the Italian is almost through. Of course, you can quickly total failure, when you have failure in the first race and start the second race from the rear must. But by "back" means when the little starter box so only 12th place, because you have a chance at landing points if it goes well. Mortara may decide at the weekend but with a little luck, the championship for itself.

    Hi,
I want to complain so net, but because a small error in the report. At the "BTCC" section, is at the beginning, "... the Fiesta is still going ...". Onslow-Cole and Chilton take but a focus ;-)

So I expect, despite the wtcc valencia 2 good run. the track is the bmw handy. can and the BMW is still in the game you do to fix Andy Priaulx. 6 so far and always in victory points for up to 2x, I think. the young gets everything out of the car. in my eyes is still a very exciting season finale will be. =)

in the formula, it is two sausage this weekend to. Two drivers fighting for for titles and three championships for five drivers to space. I'm excited =)
