DTM & BTCC: Snetterton Analysis & Nurburgring

During the BTCC race lay down three very useful, unfortunately, there was the ring again yawning boredom.

A long pause was the one who has taken the BTCC. The reason you want to finish the season a little later this year, instead of the beginning of September in some years. This meant that in July a two-day test session at Snetterton lodged, where were the Ford Focus and the Chevrolet's really fast. Before the weekend, Jason Plato said even that would have little chance against the turbo engines of the Ford, but also in the race saw all somewhat different. Correct bad it was for Matt Neal, who was good so far in the championship on the road, the better for it were the BMWs on it.

With the BMW, I did not expect at Snetterton. If you look at how big the problems are in the WTCC, one can not not factory supported teams in England, just trust that the Cruze can put pressure on. But that's what Mat Jackson succeeded in the first race almost the entire race. From the start of the Airwaves BMW was hanging in the rear of Plato, who could not settle. Further back went off the cut and thrust. Tom Chilton Ford had fallen in after the start of two places, but the focus was on the line in a class by itself. He then quickly rummaged in third place, and left behind without the Civics intervene but in the struggle to be able to top. There did nothing more until the end, even though they had actually expected that BMW would have during the race the better tire wear. But Plato, the old fox, had the race with his attack was carefully planned and on the go. At the end he was even able to break away from Jackson. Had really bad luck Matt Neal, who had a lap to the front right of a flat tire and was not even classified.

Race 2 again saw Jason Plato at the poles that developed this immediately. Despite the maximum weight capacity of 5 pounds once again drove all of them. Not so good it was for Jackson in the BMW, which took too much weight in the race second He lost his second place and soon had to give both the Ford and his team-mate Steven Kane defeated. Man of the race but was Matt Neal. Had to start from the back, but fought his way to number 9, which gave him a good position for the last race, because as the poles of the 10th Space has been lost.

There was then in race 3 James Nash at Triple Eight Astra, who won the duel even start. But after a few laps, he threw his car into the corn field unchallenged. Naturally, in the BTCC reverse grid off a lot. It has fought hard for every place that actually as a "no-go area" declared safety zones also interested in someone not so real. Plato bit her in 5th place, but given the Honda front of the race. Amazingly, it was Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal is not, who could settle again. Although would be a change of place in view of the championship have been possible but for one thing for another, the BTCC raked with Rob Collard, Neal and Tom Chilton, so go ahead Shedden was gone. Collard looked at the wild Neal blocking for a long time, until it easy for him in the final round gave one to the rear, the Civic was acknowledged with a small cross-stayer. Collard and Neal slipped through were just as busy in the last curves all hands to hold the fair Chilton jostling behind.

There were three good races in the BTCC, even if passed at the top in all the little front legs. There were seats on the powerful to the point and the results have led to an interesting state championship.

First Jason Plato - 151
Second Matt Neal - 131
Third Gordon Shedden - 127
4th Tom Onslow-Cole - 113
5th Steven Kane - 109
6th Mat Jackson - 101

As things are, the championship between Plato, Neal and Shedden decide, but Cole has definitely still opportunities. We know the BTCC and the mad race.

DTM
The craziest race in the DTM was found not to be on the track. Frankie Cheng had to put the biggest surprise. It was not until he was fired before the NGK chicane, then, as he had missed the chicane due to the ramming, the race stewards penalized him, because the harassment was omitted. Presumably, the Chinese still wondering about the punishment. Even the two commentators and Sohmer Reuter noticed this except for a perceived "WTF?" Not a lot. But it is ridiculous decisions used to it. Like the "Blue Flag" when you come out after the pit stop.

The race itself was splashing unfortunately, as expected, to himself. Ekstrom, who beat the Mercedes in the quality still screwed up, the start and had just a few meters can happen Spengler. The rest of the Mercedes-pack jostled from behind and then locked up under the Swede before the Castrol-S then so violently that he fell back to seventh place. So the race was then run for Audi. Only Timo Scheider rescues a fourth place finish.

None were overtaking unfortunately, it was therefore too little engaged in fighting. The constant black cloud looming over the track had apparently no desire, even if the ARD turned in desperation every 10 minutes to the weather man, but could not say more than that it might rain soon. Indeed, it is not. So sailed Spengler thoroughly deserved to win. Paul di Resta and Gary Paffett rounds out the good result for Mercedes.

A good, but calm race had even Ralf Schumacher. He could well be quality Ergebis not repeat the Norisring, but had a good start and finished in sixth place. Since a definite upward trend can be seen. Really good, but unfortunately the cameras off, en route, was David Coulthard. The Scot a miserable start and came back after the first round was almost the last, but at the end of tenth. This has been given the lousy start a good race.

As we look to us again some time in the DTM, and what do you get to see? A grotesque punishment and blue flags for cars in the same round. After that, I then switched off again. I can not understand why anyone still interested in this series.

The seven week long break BTCC probably explained more by World Cup and Tour de France. In both, ITV (4) have been in the UK broadcaster.

To be fair to say, but know that it was at the DTM but so few overtaking moves in the back field. But there was again the proverbial fragility of the cars to admire - Premat is angehüstelt times carefully from the side, away from the wheel has buckled and he goes into the tire barrier. The DTM is the only series that goes with cars from china.

Again true. Basically the rest is a little too long, but this just shifts the balance in the autumn, which is not bad. If you have more feel of the series. And before any of which says: Yes, I think the rest of the DTM in order. Go to the F1 and other events out of the way is perfectly fine for a small, regional series.
