NASCAR: Fontana Analysis / Danica Patrick with problems

Was expected, the race in Fontana, just not the screamer, but offered some interesting rounds and a good finish.

One of the few who say in NASCAR, loud and clear what they think is Jimmy Spencer. The said two years ago, miserable times in the face of the boring race in Fontana times "There is a solution: tear it down, build it again." Amazing critical when three corners, and FOX was last in the preliminary reports. Rather than deal with Fontana, they showed a long account of the unfortunately torn off track in Riverside and had a couple of veterans to speak, which kept saying how great the distance was but how exciting the race were, and the fun you have had. So you can of course do it. But that did not help so, the races are still needed. And then was not quite as bad as feared.

However there could thank you for RCR and the weather. It looked hard at the start even after rain and the clouds built threateningly on the horizon. It was sometimes so black that you could see the rain before, but many are only a few drops. But the weather made sure that some teams started in the last third of a little play with the tank tactics. For it was clear that, should the rains come, the race certainly would not even be started.

But when you start it looked like something different. Jamie McMurray, the Pole had taken, fell right back again and Montoya took the lead, only to have to just under 30 laps Jimmie Johnson in the rearview mirror. The master made during the entire race, a very strong impression and neither Mark Martin Jeff Gordon could not really put him under pressure. Dale Earnhardt Jr. anyway, who remained stuck somewhere around 20th place and did not come forward. Later a part of the suspension broke on his Chevy, which made for general Stirnrunzlen, because that the defect had Jimmie Johnson at Daytona. But the good momentum of Speedweeks is junior only once previously.

Johnson dominated the top, but not as you wish. For the entire RCR team turned up more or less close to the front, and put Johnson under pressure. Above all, Harvick and Burton Johnson made life difficult and showed how well prepared is the RCR this spring. It looked so good for RCR, but individual mistakes made a difficult victory. Bowyer decided in the meantime for an incorrect vote and rowed oversteer around a green phase, Harvick was towards the end too quickly in the box and had to fight to the front again.

The rain and a spin by Keselowski then saw that the field would again run together towards the end. 20 laps at Fontana are also a pleasant distance shootout and so it was exciting again. Johnson sat down at the last restart immediately. His car was better on the short distance, while Harvick and Burton had to get going once. It also smelled it, that both were out with some low air pressure. Johnson was able to forward sell around 1.2 seconds, but came away no more. Harvick and Burton beharkten something, but never in such a way that it is serious in time and lost four laps before the finish had evaporated and the residue Harvick on Johnson. Then he touched lightly the exit Turn 4 wall. A completely unnecessary action, he had three rounds of time and was clearly the faster on the track. After the race was run and won in the end, Johnson earned.

With no worry lines you will not be at Hendrick. On the one hand there are the defects of the suspension, the other is Gordon entered the engine. And he was not alone, as well as Ryan Newman flew the Hendrick engine in a spectacular cloud in the air. Another unlucky fellow was Montoya, whose engine is also very early gave up the ghost.

A few riders had really good races. The Red Bull team was closed in 11th (Speed) and 12 (Vickers) on what is a result of encouragement. Joey Logano drove a very quiet but courageous race and finished in 5th place and was the best pilot Gibbs. Sam Hornish was solid on the road, the 16th was. And we should mention Paul Menard, the races this year were all quite good (18). Regan Smith came up with the underfunded Furniture Row car on the 19, Max Papis at 28th spot This is important because the top 35 are placed after the fifth race so new.

Nationwide race
Of course, it went again to Danica Patrick, who drove her first "real" E-racing and at the same time arrived in the real world. Space 31 and 3 laps behind her was the end result. And they did not at any time of the race as if they could even begin to change something about the poor placement. The problem for her: she could tell that they were clearly not in the car (too much understeer), but they just do not know what to change at the stop so that she feels better. Air pressure? Trackable? She could not say, because it lacks the testing and experience. What it also describes the same problems for their NASCAR season. Because it is still traveling to Las Vegas and then it only makes only four months to break NASCAR turn around to the IRL.

A short preview for the week: The F1 testing in Barcelona and the go there too, because then the car must be created to Bahrain. It is hoped that good, and above all, warm weather and I note that some cards are laid on the table so I can write my F1 season preview.

I read your article very much.

but nothing for offense, proof-read from time to time, the reader would stay here one or the other haengenbleiben due to tip defects and strange formulations spared. especially the section with the rain seems to me badly or bumpy ... I so just see that?

    @ mob :
This is not the first time, the Note. I also understand that. The problem is that the texts are mostly written under time pressure and we just have no editorial editorial that reads about it again, as is the case with the pros. To enter any text in a professional editing would a) cost time and b) a lot of money. And with such a long time now texts appear to mistake of times it is (in my case) also are not the only text that I write each day. Only times as a glance: On average, I write daily about seven to ten pages of text. What more could not fault of his own mistakes and can be found in the crowd anyway only rarely.
But I do sometimes try to improve ourselves, we are here and the text more readable.

I have to say about Danicamania still wanted:

Maybe I've just heard about, but I think the Cup race was not even mentioned it, can it be? The last time something like that would be a rarity ...

Although I must say: The commercials, which makes for GoDaddy goes ... go to their website and look at the uncut spots, there are some really funny / erotic things here. My favorite is when Danica is stopped because the police officer Speeding and begins to strip - which is funny (Danica's face) and hot (the cop)

And the race itself (I do not want to forget the sheer Danica race) ... I hope it goes with JJ not continue as last year. He is a good driver, but rich 4 titles in a row.
After the 2nd Place at Daytona, I had already really hope that this year will be better Jr. ... well, now look what Las Vegas does.
