Dear Racing Blog community

I wish all regular and rare visitors to the site a happy and healthy 2010!

I want a few "thank you" are going on.

Thank you for the many visits, comments and suggestions in the last year.
Thank you for the many and very enjoyable hours chatting.

And a very special thanks goes to the authors who work for a few months here amplified. Stefan, Kristian and caution - you've brought a lot of momentum in and the site here reinforces powerful.

In recent weeks, it was by my side a little quieter. I have had much to do on the one hand, the other times I've used the time to put a little pause. It has done well and was sometimes necessary.

The new motorsport year will be exciting. Michael Schumacher will meet the expectations? Will there be someone who can hold a candle to Jimmie Johnson? We are the first name of "caution" experience? We will deliver in 2010 a lot of background reporting here and I'm gonna try me and the team to get more live coverage. I used the last few weeks to get something to guide the way.

But in the new year it will go is not limited to lists of results. My idea was always that this site delivers a lot of background, context makes clear the fan and another, also very critical view offers to motorsport. For in contrast to the many print magazines we are not dependent on advertising, switch the groups. I hope that we can offer all readers in 2010, an independent, exciting, entertaining and critical view of the motor sport.

Sports Car Season Review, Part 2: The 24 hours of Le Mans and the European Le Mans Series

The LMS was previously called 2009 for the first time since 2006, when Pescarolo dominated, again a pure gasoline-fight, as their Audi and Peugeot diesels were available for most of the year in the garage. Only in Le Mans, the two met again works together directly with the better end of this time for the French. In addition, there was a renewed attempt to bring the Le Mans Series to Asia.

The European version of the Le Mans Series is significantly different from its American sister, half as many races, but (usually) twice as many cars that race with a length of six hours each homogeneous. The 2009 season was, as far as the last third of the championship, certainly exciting to not know if it compares with 08 and 07. But to the one with the greatest surprises.
