He has not done so - Jenson Button has signed a three-year contract with McLaren. Whether that is good for him? And what now, Mercedes?
I did it, frankly, may not be as quite believe it. Button to McLaren? In addition to Hamilton? There are at least three points, so I was skeptical about his speed compared with Hamilton, his nerves and the Hamilton clan. In other words, he could hardly make themselves harder. Even next to Alonso or Vettel not. What has probably driven him to the cause? Money seems to play a major role. Button was, allegedly, 9 million per season. Now he gets, apparently, 6 million for a total of 18 million in three years. Mercedes / Brawn did not pay, but McLaren says that one button does not pay more than others. Which apparently means that a sponsor has been skipped. Since Vodafone already has a Hamilton face, I guess times on Johnny Walker. But it is worth the money?
One could assume two things:
First Button has an enormous self-confidence
The world title has inflated his ego and he sees something on a level with Hamilton. I live now not in the paddock, but I think I lie not wrong if I think that about 95% of all the experts are not in his opinion. Button is fast, especially in the long runs. He makes almost no mistakes. But is that enough to beat a Hamilton? It would surprise me greatly when it would happen to you.
Second Button still collected from time
He has his title, he knows that it was only a one time thing. So why not go too fast a team that he gilded his retirement.
I type yes to Nummero Two. Even if he should have the speed of Hamilton, the war of nerves in addition to the dominance of the Hamilton clan in the team should be enough to button to make them nervous. If even one Barrichello can do that, the really do not exactly have a reputation of being particularly common ...
A few people may well be afraid that Hamilton dismounted his successor as world champion in 2010. On the other hand, I like to let myself be surprised. Hamilton's advantage is that the 2010 car is once again voted for him. Button causes a lot softer brakes before, but is also used in the curve on the gas, as the transitions shown on television this year. Whether he realized the petulant McLaren is coming? Although - who was driving the Honda for years.
This Mercedes is a luxury problem. For whom will you occupy the seat next Rosberg? Ross Brawn probably annoyed (rightly) that he has let Barrichello go. Raikkonen would have been a great alternative, but has now announced that he will run in 2010 rallies. Allegedly with the help of Red Bull, who want to set it in 2011 alongside Vettel.
At Mercedes we have then the following candidates: Heidfeld, Trulli, Sutil, Kovalainen. The Finn is not fast enough, Trulli had passed its zenith and it unfortunately lacks the speed race. Heidfeld and Sutil conjures remain, unless you are Gary Paffett and de la Rosa out of the hat, which I do not think sometimes. Between Heidfeld and Sutil might be tight. Sutil is known for its Harakiri actions when he bears love to two to eight carbon relatively important parts of his car, but on the other hand, he mostly stuck behind in traffic. His speed is really not even the worst.
Heidfeld would be the safe bet. Good boy, probably no faster than Rosberg, but with a lot of talent racing and racing speed. In addition, one who can bring evidence, if he has a car that suits him.
At least it will go to the driver market until further if Mercedes has decided.
Kimi Raikkonen, meanwhile, has announced that he wants to insert one years break. I think for a no good, but at least consistent idea. The laconic Finn will miss you very 2010. Unforgettable his gigs as a gorilla or this year in Malaysia, when he moved to the temporary cessation of the race was the first out of the car and was in the Ferrari got an ice box.
What exactly will make Kimi is not clear. The WRC seems to be, however, is not clear in which series (or junior right) and certainly not with what team. It may be that it puts Fiat, yes that must be paid his salary in 2010, a few blocks in the way. We hear, however, that Ford has a great interest in the Finn.
The exciting question is really whether he comes back again. A year without F1 practice is damn hard, especially in light of the new rules in terms of ban on refueling. I would have no objection to seeing him in NASCAR. Alone, because I want to see faces of the U.S. TV people when he released his first "interview" is.

Finnish television has probably just finished a TV contract with the DORNA. Now do not know the requirements of the Moto GP, as there are the wild cards awarded, but as a marketing gimmick? RAI will be missed but definitely in Formula One. A type of driver that unusual in the field is (was).
Really interesting is the Mercedes of Personnel. Is it a real top guns are not really more.
Button will get quickly assigned the role of "supporting driver", and he will fill, without question, well, far better than a la driver Kovalainen. If so, he (and his millions) is satisfied and not the idea is to have to drop out of character, then McLaren has an extremely strong driver pairing. With all due respect for the German driver, but Mercedes would have built a much faster car, however, to arrive. Understand why it has not brought Raikkonen, and just as difficult to understand why the did not want revealed. I think he's the fastest driver in the field as long as he does not just re-inserted into an inexplicable drop in form.
what with the second place ^ ^ h ^ h at Braw ^ h hMercedesGP?
why will not have kimi?
Kimi has been the top earner of Ferrari F1 and get a royal compensation if he goes no further F1 (I have read different numbers, 10, 13, 17 million or so, please someone correct me if I'm wrong). In addition, he will willingly go rally would have also required that is stipulated in his contract that he should so. Now if Mercedes did not provide him the wish (which is already a lot of money, and if you have not even want to give his button 9 million), then you just prefer to dispense and Kimi can do what he wants.
I also hope he comes back, he was always one of the most likeable drivers in the field (and his helmet design the most chic ^ ^), and (sometimes assuming that no one Kovalainen will) the F1 just needs at least a Finn, and Rosberg than half enough for me not there ;-)
If I were Haug, I would try so, Vettel made his two-year contract with Red Bull buy out. But Daimler would likely take over for the entire group shower, a couple of Mercedes engines alone are probably not well.
The news for Button, I can understand, but not the rest of Raikkonen! What now! He is afraid or not! He is so many ways and now he missed every opportunity! Unbelievable!
