He has not done so - Jenson Button has signed a three year contract with McLaren. Whether that is good for him? And what now, Mercedes?
I did it, frankly, can thus not quite believe it. Button to McLaren? In addition to Hamilton? There are at least three points, so I was skeptical about his speed compared with Hamilton, his nerves and the Hamilton clan. In other words, he could hardly make themselves harder. Even besides not Alonso or Vettel. What has probably driven him to the cause? Money seems to play a major role. Button was, allegedly, 9 million per season. Now he gets, allegedly, 6 million, a total of 18 million in three years. Mercedes / Brawn wanted to pay does not, however, McLaren claimed that one button does not pay more than others. Which apparently means that a sponsor has jumped. Since Vodafone already has Hamilton as a face, I guess times on Johnny Walker. But it is worth the money?
