Sad news from the formula 2 Henry Surtees came today in a horrible accident at Brands Hatch died.
The 18 year old son of racing legend John Surtees started the second round of the Formula Two at Brands Hatch. During the chaotic race came in the rapid passage of Westfield Bend John Clark off the track and slammed into the tire barrier, it broke a wheel which flew across the track and hit on the head Surtees unhappy. Surtees was apparently unconscious, his car drove on, ended up in a guard rail and finally came to a stop. Rescue workers were on site immediately and brought into Surtees Medical Center, from where he was taken to a London clinic. There, Henry Surtees died from his severe head injury. He was only 18 years old.
