The January just around the corner and with it again question whether NASCAR will show up again in Germany, the chances are more difficult.
I have an interview with the Managing Editor of the motor sports department of Premiere, Rainer Kruger, now at motorsport totally read it. The statement that you would like to return to NASCAR in the program, but is not part of the stunning new editorial team. It is estimated that around 450 million euros, which Murdoch and the banks want to shoot in the company. Sounds like a lot, but enough. Premiere losses before and burns at the moment € 1 million per day. The money would then be just sufficient to absorb the losses next year, which does not make it better now.
The question is how Premiere can attract new customers. With the Bundesliga it is unlikely to achieve large scale new subscribers, so we have to do something else. But what? Expand the program in which it buys more rights and bundles would be a possibility, but there is little free. A variation would be that it expands the HD column, but this one would have to invest even more money on the one hand, and secondly, require existing customers to spend more money. Even if you get a HD receiver for € among the people - the customer must subscribe to an additional program. And what do you want Sun to fill an HD screen? In Europe there are few sports programs shown in HD. It can be an investment in the future, but if Premiere at the moment leaning so far out of the window - safe? However, this seems to be a variant.
The other is to extend the offer package and reduce the package price. So more channels for less money. But what will happen exactly, remains to be seen. I would immediately take out a HD subscription run if there were more than just football. NASCAR or NFL next season would be a dream.

If Premiere NASCAR and NFL would bring in HD, and the guarantee for several years would, I would also take out a HD subscription. In the current status quo, it is more likely a candidate for a speedy termination to the next appointment.
HD very well. The little people but remain dependent on it. In plain English: You have thus a complete Basisabo where all the waste lands, which would not subscribe anyway. If you want to see it but prefer F1, Nascar, football or movies is, then pay the same on top of it ... Great idea, but without me!

It can be assumed that the programs be restructured extensively since Premiere does not have endless amounts of capacity. Williams has so far 1-1 on the blueprint of SKY in the UK and Italy. This means the PREMIERE its own content is distributed over fewer channels and instead allows more purely third-party. With FOX and TNT's current series PREMIERE this way. The sacking 1-2 3.tv-out of the Premiere bouquet of 1.1. is another sign of things to come.
As for the lack of HD content for sports terms: BSkyB already filled at least three HD channels of sports (plus EUROSPORT HD). Although there is much Graupensport here, such as darts, but still ...
As for TV: easy times are these days at Media Markt and Saturn at the output of goods and see what's going übern counter. All kind of HD-compatible. And there are many HD channels in Germany? Three piece? How many subscriptions run out of Premiere? A single.

If P wants to have not even given the broadcast rights, then P can pass on these but at € sport. For over 10 years ago could be seen in the sport € race live. Only when the Americans screwed up prices, there was less and less sport was at € until the oven completely.
I am for my part I set for 2009 at least one high-speed Internet access. Then I get my weekly "Nascar-dose" through other channels if need be ;-)
