Premiere: state of play NASCAR 2009

No, no, not what you think. There is still no news when it comes to NASCAR 2009 live rights. But at least now, Premiere has secured the rights to the Bundesliga to the season 2012/13. To say the least, the decision saves the neck Premiere

For without the BuLi rights of shop could make the same density. Of the 2.41 million customers, around 1.4 million alone in the Bundesliga package have. There are certainly a few with you, like I have an old Komplettabo and the league is just so with, but most likely because of its explicit league. If I remember correctly, yes, Premiere has around 650,000 spectators from arena to get pushed over and if you then take the customers who were too lazy to cancel, plus hotels, etc. then the matter could get there with the 1.4 million already. In other words, without football, the number of customers would probably just over the million mark.

This is of course a bit pathetic for a station that has existed since 1991, but given the customer policies of recent years but not really surprising. It has indeed been a lot of effort on all fronts of alienating customers. The term "long tail" seems to have known at least not all of those responsible. Anyway, now that the NASCAR finds its way back to Premiere, or that it will expand the sports program at all is, given the economic situation of the station more than uncertain. Premiere burns at the moment very, very much money. Nearly one million euros. Per day. Or so says the service sector Meedia .

By winning the Bundesliga rights to the store will at least stabilize, but may be of winning is still very, very far away. And I honestly do not know why the customer should debut next year kicked in their door. Just because a game to the League now takes place on Saturdays at 18.30 clock always, the fans and especially the disappointed customers to complete a new subscription. In addition, the economic environment in 2009 so now is not just looks Doll. Potential customers will think three times if they enter. The Bundesliga subscription costs per year, after all, about 240 €, will be emptied, the sports portal for the Champions League have, the combined costs 420 € / year. That's a lot of money.

I do not see the premiere will suddenly have more revenue because of an ongoing league anyway because of the conversion or transfer of encryption. I gave the premiere of specified numbers of naysayers has always been much too high. Premiere spoke of "millions" I think there were a few thousand. Even if the now completed all of a sudden Vollabo, the premiere will hardly help in the red.

As it stands, Premiere is a very long-term rehabilitation case. Murdoch will not come around it to invest money in the store. And a lot of money. Obviously, the staff can no longer save a lot of interests such as "HoH" will probably be deleted, but if you want to bring the transmitter back to the front, you have to primarily improve the offer. With "FOX" you ever get the series and is probably safe to the premieres of "Lost" and "Dr. House set ". The movie packages have to be expanded, but this is a very expensive affair. They will most likely try to "Family" (formerly "Subject") inflate package in which it's choking a few stations. But basically it depends on the welfare of Premiere sports channel and the fact that there are things to see exclusive. Premiere would need a mixer such as Sky offer. Football, NFL, motor sports.

Since I would be back in NASCAR, in its context, and are cream pieces such as the NFL at the moment not to have, certainly an option. A favorable even for NASCAR vice president Robbie Weiss has even announced so half can be raised that would be awarded the rights for virtually nothing. Between the lines, is it clear that NASCAR needs to reach in Germany, so the teams have an additional argument for the sponsors. To deny so much for NASCAR, but Premiere could have according to my information as early as 2008 the rights for a really ridiculous price, and it is not done because the cost of transmission (satellite, moderation, live recording of the program) was too expensive. How to Get in early 2009 to take the money for it, reveals itself to me even now. An argument could be, however, that probably is not too few in 2007, a two-year subscription have been completed because of the NASCAR. Now running out next year for the NASCAR start. The bill could be that you do not lose the customer also wants a transfer and therefore draws into consideration.

Especially in a form that was in January 2008 in the conversation. It has been considered at Premiere, if you do not acquire the rights on the Internet and provides a pure stream with the original comment. But if one has discarded. 2009 could be one alternative, but only if the stream is free for Premiere customers. For my part, I will certainly not pay 3 euros per race for a 300kb / s stream that you can get elsewhere for free.

As you can see - this time as an intermediate state - the situation is when it comes to NASCAR, unfortunately, still unchanged. If Premiere does not properly take money in hand, or by the News Corporation. gets, it will probably move a little.

Premiere hopes to secure, by locking the naysayers (which is really now uebetroffen their earlier problems with pessimists far as mitlerweile everyone knew someone who knew someone ... of a receiver could get to 40, who was "open"), more customers to win. Just as bad as it sounds ... someone who could even watch the whole program will come to the conclusion: For what have I pay nothing. I would say, if 5% subscribe to the naysayers now Premiere, which would be a huge success.
Sport would attract safe, but as newer and more movies on opening night 1-4. There have stagnated recently more and more repetitions and the number of new films. If I pay 60% Wiederhohlungen, I will also ask if I still want to.

Recall times in the nostalgic days when NASCAR was running without any problems live on € sports (and if I mistake not to dawn on sports channel).

NASCAR wants to reach and spread in doubt, also cheap right? Now, €'s sports are still ... (hint hint)

IT may, at the current program policy hardly 4 - 6 hours ago Send Nascar ... who have already Probs times the WTCC sense to get into the program

The league is for real Premiere of survival without BuLi in principle they could make to the store now. This is probably the main reason that they have now got the rights, because if I read everything correctly, Disney / ESPN had offered more money probably, but still no clear concept that is designed for the long term. By BuLi rights they are certainly not sub-license to Arena, then all of Arena's customers who are only there because of BuLi, then switch back to Premiere, which will premiere can certainly pay well. However, this change will have to take place only at the start of next season, that is only the beginning of August 2009. Revenue through changer not have any direct effects, but perhaps you can stop the exodus.

A better, more attractive and more varied film and serial program and a sports program with clearly defined priorities and live broadcasts beyond core competencies, however, could certainly help, first for other client groups to make it more attractive. It costs but also again a pretty penny, and in the current difficult economic environment, I do not expect that Premiere can take a lot of money in hand. And also many potential customers will enter into no subscription, because they would rather spend their money then for another, and television has indeed be otherwise "free". In 2009, Premiere will therefore probably not stand a lot better than now, maybe it will get better in 2010.

The Nagra 3 is in Spain for some time in service (Canal +), where it was already apparently cracked. At least the solution around in the forums will be served. The naysayers are not the way, also fell on my head and have come up can be an inexpensive solution.
It taps into the neighboring country to ado (cross-eyed LNB), there has not been changed, namely, that costs just 30 €.
I wonder who here now because the cat and who the mouse. Apparently you have a long-term contract with Nagravision and can not simply gone (or it was too expensive), because that will last indefinitely.

By the way: I do not turn the former arena, the future customers with songs of joy back to Premiere. These are the ones that were not then let out of their contracts and had to pay twice. Which brings us to an appropriate adage: You always meet up twice in a lifetime.
For football, there are also free: When Greeks around the corner.

A favorable even for NASCAR vice president Robbie Weiss has even announced so half can be raised that would be awarded the rights for virtually nothing.

As already written above was: Because it would offer € sport. I'm concerned, they could also send a Repeat / Summary to a promotional technically more convenient time.

NASCAR and IndyCar to € sports, those were the days ... of the F1 to mention.

  7. Henning 29th November 2008 at 19:37 #

I can not imagine that will change in the NASCAR broadcast of Premiere somewhat next year. Mondays yes, a summary is shown by the weekend. This is the view of the program better as a race that no one sees Saturday night or Sunday to be postponed due to rain.

What's more: the Bundesliga rights are more expensive next year than previously, the F1 rights are determined according to the contract even more expensive every year and now makes Premiere large losses. Even if NASCAR would give away the rights for Germany and not a German commentator would be offered, it would still 3-5 hours a week on Sunday evening consumes space on the transponder, where you can show otherwise Bundesliga summaries, F1 repeats or movies, for their appearance you have to spend any additional money.

On the other hand, I can hardly imagine that the satellite transmission is sooo expensive, because ABMoteurs in France gets the yes financed. The bottom line is yes anyway certainly sent the Word of ESPN feed to Europe and then just have the local vendors (ABMoteurs, Sky) is fed back.

  8. sparky 30th November 2008 at 09:51 #

If the rights are actually getting for "free", but would have to find a station that has the patience sometimes transferred to a year Nascar.
How about the "sender tits" (DSF). So much less Nascar viewers would not be determined yet.
And after a year then you could see how the audience behavior has developed.
Bad things, sometimes to show a race would be to interrupt again, then transferred to irregular, and then to measure the success of the programs.
I think the success of NASCAR, also in the U.S. that meet almost Wöchendliche of the stars of the series.
Works like the "weekly soaps" yes, we exclude the apparently successful
    .
So where are they, the program directors who know how to make successful movies.

  9. NoteMe 30th November 2008 at 10:33 #

I see no chance for NASCAR in the German free-TV. Who would ask such a volunteer bond pad to the leg? 37 weeks 4 hours per transmission (sometimes much more), some races still in the night between Saturday and Sunday - who is going to look there? And if no one looks where they come from advertising revenue?

Ugh does not just for the heck TittenTV, but because it is at best rates. Not to mention the impossibility of NASCAR races and bring as Bundesliga rights under a hat.

I think that's only on that one may hope, perhaps, a NASN-style "transmission" (more signal acquisition) in a divisional pay-TV channel.

  10. sparky 30th November 2008 at 14:45 #

I do not really even if I'm honest.

The hope is dying or something like that to last.

  12. Wolli 30th November 2008 at 15:42 #

and then? ABSat else has nothing else except NASCAR, at least for this Jahr.Nur Nascar not worth it, because I'd rather wait, or what makes debut as the streams develop ^ ^

  13. djpete 30th November 2008 at 18:51 #

Why it makes the Nascar not like the NFL, the NFL game via streaming EVERY NFL Game Pass, get access only those who live OUTSIDE of the United States.

Something similar could still introduce the Nascar also (and all our problems would be solved!)

  14. Jochen 30th November 2008 at 20:17 #

    So only once on "alarmist"

I know someone who sometimes had its premiere "black" - but now no more, because the program is so lousy.

And unfortunately I have to agree with him. Just as an example: Today went to a movie premiere 3 with Paris Hilton in the lead role ("Paris Hilton - The Party Animals are back"). I once switched purely short (and after 10 minutes to switch) and then visited once in the Internet Movie Database IMDB. I do not know if I have to say to IMDB, but just know that it's probably the biggest movie database in the world. There you can evaluate each film. The film with Paris Hilton is on a list of the worst films ended up in 9th place, with 1.6 out of 10. And such a scrap shows premiere. Since one need not wonder that cut off the customer. For me, the only two good stations there before the 'non-premiere "channels such as Discovery Channel, Disney Channel, etc - anything where stations can not talk purely premiere.

  15. DonDahlmann first December 2008 at 01:22 #

I'm quite surprised that most commentators see things as black. I'm not sure, but try out just to get what such a satellite link costs along with commentators, etc. actually. The argument that a slot is blocked at first for cheap repetitions, I see, but on the other side there is the benefit of the transfer along with the ability to market such a thing. It's not like that NASCAR roars into Germany by completely unnoticed.

    @ Djpete:
That would certainly not be a bad idea, but the prices are likely to be high. If I right in my head, the NFL wanted for the whole season, $ 200. Less there is in NASCAR not be, rather more. Because of the interactive 3D nonsense already cost nearly $ 100 a year. But the NASCAR streaming rights also sold separately for each country. You do not like "big" solutions.
The NASCAR definitely sees action on the illegal streams. Normally it takes only a few weeks, and a stream is lost (see embedded 2007). On the other hand, they do not want to alienate the fans in other countries. I've recently times with a colleague phoned in the U.S. (due to something completely different), and the thought that the many streams (eg Ustream) only because the season is gone, because NASCAR has looked away. Otherwise we would have moved on Ustream with complaints. They're not stupid and certainly read around in this website.

  16. Xenic first December 2008 at 08:39 #

The streams are but for all sports events is a pure case. Meanwhile, yes, everyone can find a stream and village idiot can look at the "free". But what you want to do please? If that is somewhere over Japan rumgelenkt or so, but have no chance anyway. Meanwhile, dive for the Bundesliga and Champions League even PREMIERE transmissions on the Internet, you can be so "free" look. This with little delay and actually pretty decent quality, as I have noticed that.

It might come as the U.S. of starting to accept commercials and then move more into the BL free TV ;). But at the PREMIERE policy in recent years, I understand that some prefer to watch streaming or NEN Baumarktreciever have taken years and for 40 € also had bright image.

factorial is that nascar is just not popular enough outside of America. here in Germany let there be than for thumb-bearing of 1000 people who watch every race really. one sees nothing but that is happening at Premiere. as a premiere at nascar (or vice versa: D) has dropped out, I've read anywhere "because sometimes I send a mail" and so nothing is happening. nascar is simply a motor sport, the sender wants to do no exceptions outside the U.S. to 1-2.

The run loose between 4-6 hours. let it rain like crazy times ....... I'm thinking of last year I think michigan x times for start and moved sometime Tuesday or Wednesday 10 clock (16 German clock time) frühs driven in the fog. this is happening but no transmitter on!

nascar is especially easy on for many motorsport fans simply boring! constantly left ...... who are confused partly regulated so that there is no pig by looking. Also sometimes I view as just not qualified to fix ...... 35 ....... by owner points ..... go and go homers and many more: D

time zones and the problem is too hard. unable to detect it .... stuffed was his free TV or pay TV program Saturday or Sunday evening / late evening hours with X to NASCAR. especially since no driver is on the popular European start there. Franchitti times excluded. But who knows him even if only normal F1, DTM is catcher.
    ______________________________

streams to then. I personally find it extremely surprising that it is not the cup race LIVE on the website brings live. as far as I know is skysports and from the single motuers bring it live in europe. east direction .... china, japan, russia, etc. There are garnix! neither live nor highlights! I mean, if unable to detect the format is attractive nascar .... I would make sure the series as an owner-run for the fans to still come! as already mentioned with IP lock for U.S. viewers, and thus reach his fans all over the globe. yes you can talk honestly happy that they already run to bring the bush / live nationwide. It has even begun to start 2007th as you run ONLY the first 3 series of bush wanted to bring live ... then shortly afterwards it was the entire season in 2007 and this year, too.

factorial is simply nascar is out of Germany. especially, one should also remember the nights are moving in the football season and the times of the adjoining BULI. there are in the premiere sports portal with a augenmerk rather than the few to be heard the howl hansel for nascar. especially since the IRL and NASCAR is operated so well in my opinion. Although there is also the time zones Problem .... but they do not drive constantly running in circles and are also mingled with a bit shorter than a 500 trimer of nascar race with 2 big ones .... oil-smeared stretch 3 times and rain in the desert! : D: D: D

yes NASCAR and CART € on sports and sports channel were still dufte times. But after the merger was the time also send strong back. and they went all the way back as the program operator was not sky sports on television € but the French TF1 sender! transformed the yes and the logo of the French national sport around € colors have if that was not noticed! : D now sends you prefer 14 hours of tennis LIVE from New York or melbourne ....... well then. : D

  19. Jochen fifth December 2008 at 00:50 #

    @ Basic-groove

So I have to talk to you again a few times: "The rule of thumb is 1000 people who really look at every race"? Sure, the races are often long and night races come at a bad time, but 1000 is something very deeply appreciated. I would say, it is determined 5 times as many who have looked at every race. (Although we must admit some exceptions, when a race was postponed due to rain on Monday)

But why be boring for many NASCAR racing fans, because they drive on the oval? Compare some an oval race of the NASCAR race with a so-called king of class F1 (eh not understand what it is to be so royally). On many circular routes can hardly be surpassed, there is little change in leadership. Most of it is leadership change through pit stops. In an oval race cars often drive around long side by side. And the cars can often be seen round the whole length (but this is just a live performance, television cameras are always here anyway).

And the argument with the rules I have to say something again: 35 fixed quailifiziert, Owner Points, etc ... this is only important for qualifying for the race itself is unimportant. Sure, there are also in the race, which many confuse you. The best example of the Talladega race with the passing below the yellow line on the final lap. But there are strange rules, even when other motor sports. Since there were also times (I do not know were so accurate, but if the wirkich softer) at which the F1 that you had to go once per race softer tire in which a groove was white.

Where I agree with you but must, the fact that NASCAR is not present in Germany, and it probably will not be in 2009. I would also like to have a good live stream, I would be willing to pay him - but if so, then my favorite of NASCAR. I've already tested a paid 2008 livestream, but I'd rather support NASCAR itself. Then NASCAR could also see how many people auserhalb the U.S. would be willing to spend money for NASCAR.

  20. basic-groove fifth December 2008 at 02:14 #

@ Subjugate: to the gratitude due to the number of people I have come on board the stream where I am. we had the beginning of the year has brought a streamer of any race. and he was the only and the board is international. its streams were streaming on ALL pages of the world posted it came to NASCAR. and believe me. There are currently more web sites on the stream as a porno! : D and have told me that it always jenige between 1000-2000 people was that the race looked.

Now I just say the times are nascar fans in Germany young and be familiar with PC's. all (sometimes I use the word which was already used above) is a village streams trottel event. it has been shaken me that it was only the above number. and do not forget .... he was streaming on all sides beyond our board posted.

what I really wanted to say is that the pressure of the fans who do not have nascar really great. Premiere wanted to try something with nascar .... it is not taken. program and thus get out from. The people have the premiere, it will continue to have no nascar. So why is the premiere NASCAR get back if the people continue to pay anyway.

the owner of the fixed points, and 35 were only two examples of the NASCAR bible! : D I really wanted to say that many things are not understandable for normal user otto.

I will not speak ill nascar, I myself am redneck and 88 goooo! but I can not imagine not being easy to reach a popular nascar status here in europe. it simply lacks the race here. the CART series has shown us so well at that time. just simply want to come over .......

It's obvious that there is no NASCAR, if PREMIERE more about buying in inferior films. Instead, would have to secure the live rights PREMIERE for 2008 and 2009 can. I'm almost almost all 36 of 36 races looked. I had extra time taken PREMIERE Flex 2007th Well wait to stay awhile!
