NASCAR - New Hampshire / LMS - Silverstone / GP2 - Monza

A full program of NASCAR in New Hampshire / Loudon. All top series of NASCAR are on the road, the CTS tumbling into a crisis. And of course this is the first race in the Chase. Here in New Hampshire is one of the really nasty Shorttracks of NASCAR, where you really, really needed a lot of patience. The track is narrow, the lines for a surprisingly long short track, the curves are real, real curves. This makes it difficult to vote and the race is not easy. Importantly, as with all Shorttracks, especially the start position. Since you can overtake in the corners hard, you have to come into the Top15, otherwise you can forget it. If a chase pilot messes up here, he has a bad start in the same championship. But over the weekend could do with the weather playing a role.

New Hampshire is all Shorttracks the route that I like least. 1 mile, 12 degree banking. Nothing special and can be pretty tough race ever, especially if they remain long in green, which happens surprisingly often. The last two races, had just seven Cautions, so relatively little. The first race of this year has won Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer won last year and Danny Hamlin. The latter are in the Chase, and Hamlin, at least for an outsider candidate for the title. Of the other Chase drivers were in the last years win: Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Jeff Burton, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Ford seems to have no good cards on this route. The last victory dates back to 2004, was nothing more since. Not a good starting position for Carl Edwards, the first race this year, only 17 was.

About the weather: as appears from all the races this weekend, it looks too dry, not in New Hampshire. Even for today, showers are hot, tomorrow it will be a little better, but Sunday is the probability of rain 60%. We had this year is no real "rained out" race, so a shift on Monday, after having struggled for hours to a start. Last weekend was a complete shift because of a hurricane. You have to watch so once again the weather radar and adjust to a slightly longer race on Sunday evening.

LMS - Silverstone
As soon as the season has begun, it is already over. The LMS goes to the cancellation of the Asian race at Silverstone in her last race of the season. I really do not understand why they did not from the LMS a reasonable range. The races in the spring are indeed more or less just testing for the 24 H race, then the air is kind of out there and nothing happens. Sure - the cost to keep it within bounds, but the team would not get more sponsors, if there were more races? To which it would be nice to see if the prototype would be seen on Streccken like Brno.

Well, the weekend now so Silverstone, a course that seems made to be like the Peugeot. The French have a lot more downforce and Audi has problems in the fast corners. Anything other than a Peugeot victory would be a big surprise. While Audi has both the drivers' standings in the manufacturer a chance at the title, but in the first free practice session before the French gave the speed, and distanced the two Audis by 2.2 seconds. The Ingolstadt already know from the last race.

The question is, how long, Audi is doing this yet. The fact that this year the Peugeot at Le Mans again just could not beat so was due to the fact that you have used less fuel and therefore less often had to pit. Next year Peugeot will have upgraded, especially since you have announced before, to compete with a hybrid prototype. The 908 HDi is also superior to the chassis of the Audi side. Although having said that you will take up again in 2009 in Le Mans, but still leave any indication as to whether it also comes with a new chassis. A new development is expensive and there is something Audi stingy. A variant of Audi would be that you can whiz the ALMS, but in 2009 there appeared a good opponent in the form of Acura LMP1. The luxury brand of Honda in Europe is virtually unknown in the U.S., however, it is a real competitor to the Audi.

But times have moved wrden first race at Silverstone, which unfortunately runs parallel to the race of the FIA GT and Formula One.

GP2 - Monza
The GP2 runs this weekend has her last race. The junior series travels not more with the Formula One entourage overseas, leaving the championship end rather abruptly. Because everything looks after a victory by Giorgio Pantano, who leads with 11 points ahead of Bruno Senna. Both were in a spa weekend jet-black. Pantano had two peaceful race that sucker can make, but it was after he had used as a brake di Grassi, excluded from the entire weekend. This opened up the opportunity for Senna, who also had the opportunity to make two points in the quiet race for the championship again exciting, but only bailed the team when he was out in the box too soon and he was nearly rammed a competitor would, in the second race, he threw the thing away themselves. Pantano at Monza must enter only a few points and he is a master.

Presumably it will also bring the matter anyway, because the interests of Formula One to hold him in very narrow limits. In Senna, it looks better, but come under his chances at Torro Rosso hang well on whether to keep Gerhard Berger Sebastian Bourdais will or not. Anyway, the season of GP2 in terms of offspring was rather disappointing. I had a champion Romain Grosjean in sight, but was far from clear with the new car. Buemi was rather inconspicuous and best yet I have actually fallen Luca di Grassi. The runner up from last year, for the first three races and no team went out first in France in the season. And yet he is in third place in the championship.

And what else?
FIA GT race at Brno I give my time now. The V8 Supercars come out of their winter break and continue in Phillip Iceland. Since the end of the season usually takes place, one has moved this year but to Oran Park. The traditional route will be demolished next year and makes an expensive housing development space. Anyone who still has a racing game, where the track should be here is to keep it.

If I remember correctly, there was already a race that was postponed on Monday, namely the first Fontana race. It has indeed may go a few rounds (20 or so times every hour) was a real race, but not that. Was then continued on Monday reasonable.

On "full program in Loudon" I will indeed be a clever bastard, but the Nationwide sets out this week and is only back in Dover with it ;-) But driving the truck Saturday evening.

At the track, I agree with you, I also do not like, so will watch football on Sunday. I still hit Joey Logano crossed for his debut. If he is, the forecast would put so may also reflect the quality.

For that I can indeed at times clever shit! : P
If the quality to be canceled, Logano is definitely on it, because he is in the Top43 of the owner standings. The # 34 Tony Raines and # 146 with Carl Long are due to fewer contested races outside of this brand and would have to go home in the rain.
Bill Elliot was provisional in the rain just means that he may start as a 36 ter, otherwise the Wood Brothers are also the Top43.
BTW: Logano is in the first practice ever become equal to eleventh. ;)

I just see that the practice is still ... ^ ^
And ... Logano is in the Top43, because he competes this weekend for Hall of Fame Racing in the # 96 and not in the fourth car from Gibbs!
