NASCAR announced today the calendar for next year announced.
Big changes are not found. With the Sprint Cup, everything remains the old, you only have a few dates pushed back and forth. Thus, the second race at Fontana moves a little further back. Pocono is again twice here. Richmond is the last race before the Chase and the breaks in the season are also still the same. The season ends at 07:02:09 go with the Bud Shootout and ends at 22:11:09 in Miami. Too bad I was hoping that it will be a little braver and perhaps a road course event with pure will. After the Cup at Road Atlanta was traveling recently, I had hopes.

NASCAR - Texaco before withdrawal?
Sirius Radio reported that Texaco reportedly wants to drop the end of the year from NASCAR. The part-sponsor of Juan Pablo Montoya appears to have no more desire to do more with Ganassi. That would be quite a blow to the team, even if Wrigley's could possibly take over the whole sponsorship. Surely this is not everything. But somehow comes from the NASCAR Team Ganassi this year, not out of the headlines. Only by crew chief Jimmy Elledge drama, whom they laid at the door, then the sudden decision to Franchitti's team to shut down, this lack of success and now even sponsors problems. It does not operate in at Chip Ganassi in NASCAR, IRL while his team is poised to win the championship. You will not shake the feeling that Ganassi cares too little about NASCAR.
And what else?
Joey Logano is supposed to sit from Richmond in a Cup car. Starting number would be # 02, will be sponsor Home Depot.

As you can see once again that NASCAR is extremely conservative and another circuit racing will not give it in the future.
However, there is a break next season, more specifically after the second race at Bristol, all the rest of the calendar with the remaining 12 races were postponed for a week back.
Whether it is useful to note that precisely the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, held in Atlanta gets a Chase-date?
At the Texaco story: Should it really come to a loss of sponsors, I strongly suspect that Montoya will be the next victim in NASCAR. New sponsors can be difficult to find without a big name and a non-American driver had been more difficult to be on the road in the cup longer.
However, Carpentier could already be set for next season on the road, since it also stands for a full sponsorship for Evernham. I hope next season to Marcos Ambrose, perhaps he can show off its Nationwide experience a little. "Little Debbie" is probably some of it seems to keep when you leave the Wood Brothers in order to sponsor a new team with Australian driver.
Before a new street circuit, coming in first is likely to stand in the Oval Iowa, the next year at least get a Nationwide race.
To be moved without first checking with the Nationwide Series on a road course I can not imagine that a new course is. This should also happen with lots of flow and tamtam very publicly and through publication of the calendar time pass "on the fly."
It is probably simply that oval races are better. The fans see the cars more often (on most ovals even all round long) and the cars are closer together. So it often happens that two cars run side by side, over a longer distance.
In addition, there are so many racing series, go on the road courses, but few who go on oval tracks. Especially when there are very few stock cars (except the various NASCAR series and the ARCA me not fall in).
Only this: conservative? NASCAR has existed for 60 years, and they go for 60 years mostly on ovals. And the series is successful. So why change what the recipe for success? Coca Cola does indeed not simply their recipe (they have already tried it once and people were against it). If I drink Coca Cola, then it should also taste like Coca Cola. If I see NASCAR race, then I will see oval racing. If I want to see road courses I look at the DTM.
on "Conservative": NASCAR changes before taking on the calendar do not have their own rule changes a few years ago became necessary: the Chase was introduced, but the calendar was the old one.
Meaning, there are not so many so-oval 1.5 miles to Chase, because the love would have it, but because they simply did not want to change the calendar / could. That is something that is often criticized: the Chase is not varied enough. And you react to the present at least once to some extent by Atlanta traded for Fontana. But would be better as another short track (I hope Iowa will be a Chase race, but I'm afraid that I do not wish to come true NASCAR) and a road course, so the chase is more representative.
