DTM - Analysis / NASCAR - Montoya vs. Kyle Busch

DTM - Norisring
Call to that races in the DTM as a "bad" would be a little unfair, but really exciting thing was rare. This should make it clear faierweise but also that the other races on the weekend were not really better. The two races of the Seat Cup, which were the Polos and the Porsche Cup rather monotonous. Only the second race in the F3 Euro Series was very varied, but what was even the odd accident. But this is just at the Norisring. In some years it goes to the point, in other plays and one freight train runs only one behind the other. It lacked, however, not even in passing maneuvers. It was nice to see how Gary Paffett cut through the field, even if subsequently collected his fifth place, because his car was a little too easy. Also, the duels between Scheider and Ekström, Kristensen and Spengler and Green were not bad. If in a series, the two leaders at the end are within a second or two, then that's not a bad motor sports. I got myself during the race itself is a little wonder why the race seemed so lame to me.

Eventually I got the blame simply the ARD rap. Aside from the scene, as di Resta was spinning and it was rather the World Cup mascot, the entire transmission was kinda lame. You could feel it almost physically, that the station apparently had the European Championship final in the head and the only way DTM Mäkinen. Even the otherwise perfectly good Sohmer Philip looked a little disoriented and listless, which has at some point then transferred to Manuel Reuter. About Claus Lufen have to say anything anyway. Why the ARD Musikact always brings to the race, is beyond me. To an unnecessary interview with Oliver Bierhoff, who also behaved like the "Norbert" saluted and pressed his thumb. Mercedes is sponsoring the national team.

In the end it was probably a mixture of two things. A rather unspectacular race and a lackluster transfer, which has spoiled the fun a bit. I'm curious to see what is available in two weeks in Zandvoort. Since the DTM will namely again coinciding with the Tour de France and what that usually means we already know from recent years.

NASCAR - New Hampshire
If you criticize the DTM, you must be honest even when it comes to Sprint Cup. That was not the race of the month. 100 laps long so did almost nothing, then there were a few Cautions, but towards the end there was at least as hectic as confused. Because now all the teams were out with different strategies. With long green phases indeed the only means by which to come forward. As then, not unexpectedly, the rain came, were the drivers who had previously dominated the race (Stewart, Gordon, Harvick) somewhere in the back, while the top is composed as follows:

First Kurt Busch
Second Michael Waltrip
Third JJ Yeley
4th Martin Truex
5th Elliot Sadler

> So it was the winner in every sense of the word rinsed forward and Michael Waltrip will bite butt that he has not pushed at the end. On the other hand, he is now so once out of the kill zone to 35th place But such events do occur, know all the pilots. Only Tony Stewart looked totally frustrated after his race out of the car and could not believe his luck. He was the dominant male of the race and had the last 16 laps unwound probably loose. But so again won another and Stewart continues to wait for a victory in 08

Two scenes made the race but then something that you will then not be forgotten so quickly. First there was the crash between Jamie McMurray and Junior. The latter was on his way to the box, jammed far down over the yellow line and had to cut into the narrow entrance to the pace. McMurray came flying from behind and Earnhardt Jr. slammed into the back of full pipe. After the race he said that he had not seen Junior, which now does not even necessarily for McMurray when a huge NASCAR car directly in front of a non-sees. Also slept well, the spotter of McMurray, where the slow junior will somehow have some notice may / must / should. As great as the distance is even now not really.

The fight of the day delivered but Kyle Busch and Juan Pablo Montoya. I've already asked a few times when the two clashed and how something will end well - yesterday there was a partial result. Bush arrived in the whole race and not really going into the final laps of the race, the two were close together. A few curves we rode side by side for long and Busch tried again to push up its competitors, which in Colombia is the only way was to moderate. When Busch, after a Caution on the home stretch Montoya drove into the back door, the burst of the already well anyway enggewordene collar. He serrated the left and slammed Kyle Busch on the rear fender, whereupon he turned.

After the race, he then said in an interview that you could certainly do much with it (ie, under which he was so "much" is understood), but not everything. Out Kyle Busch, championship leading ago, it would indeed now not because he was just purely down to him. NASCAR did not like such actions and punished the Ganassi driver with two penalties in the standings. However - the only punishment was the NASCAR site. Tomorrow it will probably give the rest.

The TNT commentators condemned the action of even Montoya, could not resist a certain malice. Kyle Busch is indeed ever since his action against Earnhardt, known for everything to clear away what he stands for victory in the way, but since he is with Montoya on a notoriously bad address. I think it was Petty, who said that Montoya was not just any pilot, but one who had won all the major racing series in the world. It must also get used to Kyle Busch. Well - so often seen, the two are not even in the field, except when Montoya lapped should, but the two are in front at Watkins Glen, I'm already curious. Kyle Busch's ok to ask Scott Pruett, Montoya as so in terms of "fair play action" in view of a victory on it. The Colombians would have brought the action to the fans but a few.

And what else?
When the British GT Championship at Thruxton this weekend, there has been a pretty bad crash. Bradley Ellis flew to the passage Woodham Hill, shortly before the start / finish chicane with his Ginetta, because a competitor has him back angestubst. At this point the car at top speed on the road. Ellis rushed across the field and acknowledged during his crash a house from the marshals, who were able to bring in security but before (quite a long time to toboggan on the lawn at Thruxton). But Ellis was brought to hospital where she was diagnosed with a very slight angeknacksten cervical vertebrae. But not so bad, he was released again and is doing well.

IRL race was rather dull and very fragmented. Nothing that you have to see.

Next weekend, really what's going on: F1/GP2 at Silverstone (order ever rains), NASCAR (confused no rain here, not) at Daytona, driving the IRL at Watkins Glen, in Estoril, WTCC and the FIA GT at Oschersleben.

yes I have to give to dtm race right. the circuit would again rise to some tension. But after his car ralf just start at the end of the target has just put down and the last 5 round there was yellow .... there was also overtake the impossible. Moreover, the sequence was not dolle .... 2 2 audi benz before. and engage with each other not participating. shame really! there is the call for greater private teams!

yes to nascar I can give only one ->: D

So I do nihct whether JPM has to worry about anything else.
According Motosport Total is the race director with the two-lap penalty would be satisfied.
