FIA vs. Ecclestone vs. the rest of the world / Best German F1 driver

It's a little odd, what is happening right now behind the scenes of Formula One. And apparently there is a power struggle developed between the teams, Ecclestone and the FIA, which is about the future of Formula One and especially about who is in charge.

The World Motor Sport Council met today and has taken some interesting decisions. Only once Explanation: The Council is the most powerful body the FIA. The members are elected by the FIA General Assembly. It is a kind of senate, the far-reaching decisions can take. President of the Panel is Max Mosley. Besides the representatives of the General Assembly (which in turn consists of representatives from the automobile clubs of the represented countries in the FIA), there are only two representatives in favor of Formula One. Bernie Ecclestone speaks for the team, speaks for designers including Jean Todt. This is a little and my song, but the division dates back to a time when there was little work teams. The votes will be counted easily, so the influence of both F1 people voting is relatively low. In the past, did not really matter anyway, the Panel followed the instructions of the president (Mosley), who in turn voted previously mostly with Ecclestone.

Recently, the Council took quite a few decisions that did not taste the teams. For example, there was the freezing of the engines, the introduction of KERS next year and other things. This is the moment of anger to Mosley, the stick still in his chair, while not a few car clubs (even the French), working to get rid of him. Several weeks ago, was ever on the rumor that the team tinkering with a kind of "pirate series." The course of the FIA (Mosley) from the last few years many manufacturers going too far, who want a set of regulations that allow more openness on the technical side. It has played down the rumors once, but they are not far from the table. This game with veiled threats can be dangerous as it now appears, as the FIA, and Mosley seems to respond with counter-pressure.

Thus, today voted to the introduction of a new Formula Two. Older readers will remember the fact that the F2 was the entry-level series to Formula One times, so had that importance that the GP2 enjoys today. After the demise of the F2 invented the formula is 3000, which went down but what Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, the GP2 took to the start. In fact it is sanctioned by the FIA, Ecclestone but practically determined what is going on. And now the FIA might therefore make the GP2 competition. With the announced cost of 200,000 € per year, it is indeed hard drive on the level of GP2, but strange as it already is, because of formula junior series in Europe with the F3 to the Renault World Series, the Formula Master and Italian Formula 3000 not exactly lacking.

At the same time it announced that it wants to sit down with the F1 teams at the same table to discuss the future rules of the sport. Who knows, the FIA decisions in recent years, knows that this PR language is nothing more than a list of demands to the teams. Apparently wants the FIA (commonly known as Mosley) bind the teams close to the FIA. It is - as it should be different - for money. The majority of the proceeds will go as usual to Ecclestone, a part arrives at the FIA, in another part of the team. Their share of the FIA wants to increase reported as a few days ago. That sounds a bit like a carrot and stick, which is exacerbated by the fact that you want to put the screws in the registration fees. Instead of the normal just under € 309 000, circulating amounts that go up to 1.5 million. It does not hurt the team especially, but is annoying and smell it, that the FIA building a negotiating strategy. Following the motto of the new Concorde Agreement makes it directly to us (and not with Ecclestone in between) and we waive the registration fees, etc., etc. Erhähung.

I will not shake the feeling that is brewing behind the scenes, something that is not good for the sport. If the policy is driven by ego and takes control, it has yet led to something reasonable.

Who is the best German F1 driver
Sperro asked the question in the comments and I pull up in one entry. You can choose from at the moment:

[Poll id = "2"]

Whoever wants to can still give a reason in the comments. Nico Hulkenberg is not there, because he "only" a test driver and yet we can not draw a direct comparison.

My choice was Sebastian Vettel. Nico Rosberg is certainly no worse, but he makes more mistakes. I think Sutil still overvalued, at least not as long as it rains, Heidfeld has been discussed extensively and Glock is not bad, but not fast.

The barely comprehensible dreams cost (200,000 € / year) for the imaginary formula 2 autosport.com has spoken with a GP2 team boss, called the cost of 300,000 € per year already in the Formula BMW Europe and the FIA regulations already in kart field looks partially exceeded.

The FIA can not go fast enough to the dogs, they can not take it seriously anyway.

So so, the best German Formula 1 driver. I have also tapped Vettel. Rosberg is good but nothing more. Can Heidfeld finished in Glock I know it to be honest and not Sutil has also yet to show what he does.

Vettel is the last one where I would say, yes, the can's easy and will make his way on, just a natural talent.

    For me, Rosberg.
Why? First, I think its kind of cool just to give interviews, and secondly, I am convinced that he would ride in a clever team up front.
The situation at Williams is currently (as for many years) is not optimal and this causes too many errors then the last time (my opinion).

I would have liked but angeklickert two pilots. Because of Sebastian Vettel is on the same level for me and is just a cool sow ;-).

see it almost as well as Stefan. Have also voted for Rosberg and the thing with Vettel.

The problem with the "errors" is that if you have a car with essential, you need a lot more need to push and drive accordingly at or above the limit of the car. Also, it has failed in an underpowered car because you have control over and under and also produced more errors entprechend.

    I always say MAFIA! ;)

I have chosen timo glock. which I did - just as others - would look like to plunge into a better!

My choice was Timo Glock. It is the only driver in the field where I see the oft-quoted "bite".
He also has an incredibly ambitious, and is working on at the car.

He comes from the neighboring village, and we know from the local motorsport club, plays no role at all :)
