Update 21:49 clock: According to McLaren's Kovalainen unhurt and will be released tomorrow from the hospital. Whether the Finn will take up in Turkey is unknown, he must make anyway because even an investigation by the FIA doctors. The crash into the tire was not so hard, such as by Kubica last year in Canada. Therefore, one can probably assume that he will go to Istanbul at the start, if he really has no injuries.
Update 19:45 clock: Supposedly has Kovalainen complained of pain in the forearm. The only certainty is that he has to stay overnight in the hospital. Early morning before it will therefore probably be no real bulletin.
Update 15:46 clock: According to Ron Dennis, Kovalainen has "only" suffered a concussion. Fractures were not well established.
Update: 15:40 clock: According to a FIA release you can see from Kovalainen "no visible injuries" at the first check.
Update 15:07 clock: Kovalainen will be followed by helicopter to a clinic in Barcelona. He will however continue to go well. The removal may be purely a precautionary measure in order to undergo a CT Kovalainen, so you can rule out internal injuries, etc..

In the F1 race in Spain on lap 22 Heikki Kovalainen suffered a serious accident. The fastest curve (turn 9), the Finns apparently broke a left front wheel. The McLaren went almost unchecked in the tire tables. Kovalainen had to be rescued by the doctor, but was conscious. According to the first message from the medical center, his condition was stable and he is more awake. Just as the pictures looked like the monocoque in the amount of the legs is broken. However, his limbs were not splinted on the stretcher. Once there is an update, I pass it on.
The accident saw the last years of Hamilton at the Nurburgring is very similar. He was then broken in the Michael Schumacher-S rim.
