Update: Unfortunately this is nothing this evening with the live blogging. I still have to work out and also tomorrow at half past seven, not because I'm able to push the work into the night. Moreover, what I'm longer, and therefore tired. In 14 days (Sprint Cup makes next week off) but it works again. In the chat but I am tonight.

When the alarm clock rang this morning, I felt as well in some millions of other F1 fans. I was very visible, very tired mentally and actually not really ready very fast cars. About. 10 seconds after the start I was fully awake but then what should be changed only after crossing the finish line again. My goodness - what kind of a kick.
It must be said that the front actually did anything.
Hamilton had only briefly problems than at the start aufmuckte Kubica alongside him, but had to after the first curve to handle. After that it was for him no hassle. Kovalainen could not go with his speed (although the Finn delivered the fastest lap in total) and Kubica was despite an empty fuel tank is not able to follow Hamilton. The Briton had a fairly peaceful afternoon in Melbourne and went in the end also a deserved victory. But behind it, we went to the point, what was primarily at completely unsorted Ferrari team. You have to go a few years back, to remember at such a hectic race of Italians (eg Hungary, 2006). Above all, Massa was completely off the roll. His rookie mistakes in the first corner after the start, as it turned out, because he was too much gas was one thing, the rest of the performance of another. He actually appeared on and was no longer pale. Raikkonen amused me with its use. He let it rip and just tried everything it works. And not everything went well, just as he had imagined. His overtaking of Kovalainen, some may regard as superfluous, I am glad that he has tried it. Drivers who rumkurven hours behind an opponent, because she does not dare take a risk, yes, there really enough. On his second mistake when he turned out behind Glock, but the Finn felt it already to a certain listlessness. Almost as traditionally one must look at probably the technical problems of the Italians at the start of the season. Less than a year in which they are not slowed in the first race of this or that detail. However, both the driver's ausfielen with engine problems then already alarming.
In the race happened otherwise exactly what one would expect a little bit. Many drivers were very hectic around the road and slid their cars, the failure rate was due to technical reasons exorbitantly high. Actually, you would only need to do comfortably behind to finish in the points. And that's what made Sébastien Bourdais, who handed in my opinion the best race of all drivers. Steeled by five Champ Car seasons, where safety car phases are part of everyday life, he was wise to go and swim in peace again. The battle four times Champ Car champion and zwischem the two-time F1 champion Alonso was beautiful to behold. The Spaniard reached deep into his bag of tricks, but he could not simply put the French out of the rest. As Kovalainen behind Alonso appeared that the cause for Bourdais through, and it is regrettable wirklichn that left him just before the end the transmission.
The last two rounds between "covariance" and Alonso were worth seeing.
The overtaking the Finn two curves was phenomenally good, even though he was obviously in much better car. The Alonso pass him again, could lay the rest of the fact that Kovalainen at the start / finish straight threw away a to-bottom, while, for whatever reason, came to the pits for Limiterknopf speed. Also of note: Honda. As seen today, are by far not as slow as it looked in the tests. Barrichello, however, threw away the important points, because the red light has been overlooked at the pit exit was then more than stupid. Despite being ordered not bad, but points to gain for Honda at the moment is difficult, when you see how much of the rest is on the way. Nice course, the results of Rosberg and Heidfeld. However, I was expecting something more to me after the quality of the BMW. They are just still a good distance away from McLaren and Williams not far away.
A pecking order, you can not fix after the race, but of course in Melbourne is just too special. BMW was on courses such as Melbourne or Montreal has always been good, the aerodynamic demands on the cars here are not so special. The next weekend is significantly different because Malaysia requires a completely different car. I'm curious to see which team placed well there. I'm still not really sure how well the new McLaren really is. Ferrari was in the winter on the road longer distance and they were everywhere eigenlich quickly. However, they have a problem with the rear tire. In an interview with Stefano Domenicali admitted that even with the heat in Australia had a problem to get the rear tires for a fast lap at the right temperature. What a blessing in the race, is a huge problem in the quality dar. This one will certainly not be able to solve in seven days. But in Malaysia we will see even more clearly what kind of car does have the best overall performance. One thing is certain, however - apart from Super Aguri, every team behind Ferrari and McLaren the chance for a good result. The midfield is so tight, how many years and no longer the ban on traction control is the best idea that the FIA had in years.
Even in brief:
- Super Aguri have with the Magma Group, which in turn has an Arab investment company with the boat, one owner, and it may be that the racing gets a new name. Gives details about it but probably after Easter.
Bridgestone plans to for the night race in Singapore to bring a tire whose edges shine -. This is to the spectators along the course to see who is and who is traveling with soft with hard tires. The FIA must approve yet to come.
- Ron Dennis will not be in Malaysia at the track and has had prophylactic announced before, that this has nothing to do with the Grüchten that he wants to leave the team. Amazingly, it was today but know that Dennis gave after the race, only a short statement, leaving the analysis of Martin Whitmarsh.
ALMS - Sebring
Long-distance race is always a bit tricky. The tension reveals itself naturgemß not in the first two hours of a race, but only towards the end. So what the race last year, closely and very varied. This year, there has to be honestly held, the voltage at the borders and only came on in the final laps. This was simply the fact that all LMP1 cars had to struggle with technical problems. That the only Peugeot 908 would not make it over the distance was previously relatively clear, but that both Audi R10 had to be parked in the garage a long time, it was quite a surprise. It also made it clear that Audi has a little problem. Because of Peugeot's faster, you have to go more to the limits at Audi. And that leads probably to the fact that Audi is also at higher loads the material and can therefore occur even faster times an error. The LMP2 starter saw it with joy. Both the Porsche and the Acura ran more or less like clockwork. Although you could go the speed of LMP1, but they ended up having not the point. In the last third of the remaining Penske Porsche with Bernhard / Dumas / Collard was comfortably in front of the colleagues of the Dyson team leadership. However, came towards the end of the remaining Audi R10 again with Capello / McNish / Kristensen forward and missed second place by only five seconds.
In the other classes, there were unfortunately too little tension. In the matter of the GT1 Corvette for it quickly became clear in the GT2 peppered Jamie Melo in a fit of complete blindness his car against the Porsche of Marc Basseng. Melo had previously been clearly in the lead. This clears the way for Bergmeister / Henzler / Lieb was free, which could decide the race in their class by itself.

The F1 race has once again offered everything was so constitutes a race. A brief thunderstorm would have been the hammer :-)
But with all the spins, accidents, vehicle defects, safety car periods, tank accident in BAR and engine damage that was a class race.
Especially for me freuts Rosberg and Bourdais for the great race. Too bad, a 4th place Bourdais would have liked. But he was, I believe, still regarded as finished 7th. After all.
Otherwise, the disasters have Italian carved right into the sack, and blew the start. My opinion of Massa continues to become more that he is not a complete racing driver and will never be. Kimi has to fight well even with the driving without TC .. times look how that develops.
McLaren did a good job and are (almost?) The only team without a loss. Respect.
For me more than this surprising start to the season. Was worth repays to 4:20 zusein already ;).
Finally, the FIA has banned ordinary times what with the Tracktion control :).
So it can go on next week :)
Malaysia alone is interesting because there are many high speed corners. I can remember that you have in the online display of the data driving the race seen from time to time, such as the TK leapt into the fast corners to stabilize the car. That could be fun.
I can not get used to the race really. Sure, on the one hand, it was certainly varied, but unfortunately not, because the teams were so close to each other have been, or could have increased because overtaking. This race benefited simply from an incredible number of personal failures.
The latter is certainly a desirable side effect of Elektronikbeschnitts, but unfortunately they do not make the competition more exciting in itself, but to lead the American model of virtual power thanks to numerous safety car periods.
As Don noted all right, absolutely nothing happened to the front. Hamilton was in danger at any time and would not back gerappelt so often, and would not put in the field by themselves and have been decimated, this would also fit seamlessly into the season opener of the series bore a distinct race with a superior team.
As I said, I do not correct to begin with the race. Short while, in all honor, but if you rely on for the inability of the protagonists must be made is for me no permanent base.
Well, that's certainly true. Me, in the case offending driver rather than infallible robots, thanks to TK to pull their laps. Ferrari would not have been so bad on it, it would have looked like the front better. Angriffiger Raikkonen and Hamilton so would be in the front row a party. The technical problems that many riders beutelten will disappear and then it should certainly be a lot of fights, as of today between Bourdais, Alonso and Kovalainen.
Oh well, something that should somehow be anchored in the rules, like "two SC phases per race, triggered by random" or something. Look at times Biathlon: There will be four times the entire race Classment vigorously shaken up and simply because it is much more exciting than a normal long run. Something needs F1 as well. Thus a normal F1 race is as yet no event Monopoly cards ;)
Since when Edgar Mielke is back in Premiere? Does this mean that in the NASCAR summaries on F1 weekends no longer has to endure Walter Zipser? * Carefully looking forward
Good question. The chat also appeared from the statement that what Schulz recently has dropped in the direction that it could possibly be a surprise in terms of Premiere and NASCAR. I know of nothing.
