After the Budweiser Shootout and Daytona 500 before It's "Daytona Week" in the United States and all turn at the wheel, because the "500" are the single most important race of the NASCAR season. Never again in the season, the ratings will be as high as this weekend, so the PR machine running hot. There are tons of PR events, there will be extra made for the race switched spots - even the idea of the pace car, there is again a separate news conference. In other words - complete madness.
This is also reflected in the rules again, how you have now come into the Daytona 500. Usually it's this year as follows: The top 35 are qualified anyway and go into a session of the courts. The rest of beats in a separate qualification for the remaining places. Just get on the fastest time. The rules in Daytona but are more complicated. My colleague Pete Finch of MS-total.com has taken the trouble, the whole thing unravel naturally . In essence, it is this: The Pole was presented on Sunday, when Jimmie Johnson was fastest. The rest will be on Thursday in the Gatorade Duels set, but I imagine even more accurate. In the end, you then have a starting lineup, but with a 500-mile race with restrictor plates anyway is not that important, then even if only 25 is possible to win the race easily. The pole is then seen sporting unimportant, but the sponsors are, of course, because they can brag about for a whole week. But who on Thursday finally knocked out in the Duels, which can then directly pack his bags and go home.
IRL - Team Australia wants to change
One of the top teams in the Champ Car series, Team Australia CCWS is apparently planning to leave and not to wait for a merger. This says team boss Derek Walker of "USA Today". Would leave the team with two cars, the CCWS, it would look really bleak, as luck would have it with 15 cars to be launched. The air for the Champ Car series is getting thinner. That there is no news at the moment, is also the fact that IRL owner Tony George was staying in Japan, where he tries to move the Motegi race. There is a lot of air at the dates it is not there. The April fall away, as the May, which is reserved for the Indy 500. Would a weekend in June, or you choose but for a start in September, but usually the weather at this time in Japan rather poor and it would come with the NASCAR into the enclosure, the Chase starts in September.
And what else?
Once the mail campaign. After a few emails between myself and Dennis Grübner of stock car news forum we have come to the conclusion that it probably does not make much sense to email sponsors and teams of NASCAR. Since most of the sponsors goes to highlight Ausstrahlug premiere, it makes no sense to protest there. That would be different, the reporting would be eliminated entirely in Germany, but which is not yet Sun Given the situation, that probably no one wants to acquire the exclusive rights for Germany, it probably makes more sense to continue to raise premiere.
Furthermore, I have heard that some emails to premiere were located well below the waistline. This is not the kind of "protest" to introduce myself. One can and must deal with the policy of Premiere subscribers in dealing with program and grappled, but insults do not help here but no more harm. One should not indulge in the fallacy that the protests will not change much, but anything can be achieved if one submits vituperation. The best way to show premiere, that one is dissatisfied, there is a clearly articulated mail or when it would otherwise specified in the subscription is canceled.
