Formula One - That could be interesting
So much movement as in the past few weeks, the Formula One had been a long time. This is true both for the race, as well as events off the slopes. The weekend is only highly interesting from a German perspective. The Medienintresse will focus on safe and Markus Winkelhock, which I do not begrudge a really good weekend. He's a little late with his career. Rise to the age of 27 in a Formula One, which is already almost ripe old age. By comparison, Fernando Alonso is a double world champion and only 25 years old. But since it's Mark and his father, who, interestingly, was at his first race and 27 years old and the only reason why the race was because he was allowed to replace the injured Jochen Mass at the Italian Grand Prix, 1980th The career of his father in Formula One was not particularly successful, although he described as "wild dog" was. A fifth place in the chronically unsuccessful ATS team at GP Brazil occupies in 1982 was his best finish. His son will fare much better there in the Spyker. Much was expected of him in this race but you do not. He has hardly been tested in this race and he has experience with a Formula One certainly do not. It is not easy for him.

Today, Honda has both Jenson Button and Rubens Barichello as a driver for next season confirmed. Interestingly, both have extended but only for one year. In Barichello, it is clear, as his career draws to a close, he should not have to hire at Torro Rosso. When the button I'm surprised only one-year extension even further. If Honda does not come in 2008, the pots, he will probably seek another cockpit. I spontaneously fell one that Renault or Red Bull. The question is even if Honda still plague year like this one will endure.

Ralf Schumacher's options on a contract outside of Toyota are geschrupft by the confirmation of Honda as well. Since Red Bull is also tight, it will probably only Toyota. The variant rumored that he could end at Renault, I think this is a totally far-fetched rumor. I would like to see the face of Flavio Briatore when he sees Cora Schumacher in his box.

On the edge, it should be mentioned that I am a bit surprised why Gerhard Berger has not yet come together with Bourdais. It is safe to negotiate in the background, but Bourdais sounded in recent days not very confident about being involved in Formula One. I wonder what Berger has before. The market is not exactly abundant now covered with good or promising riders. I can well imagine that Burno Senna Berger has in mind, but for the second cockpit?

On race: That could be a very exciting, because Ferrari and McLaren are likely in my opinion are very close together. The circuit should suit them, even if McLaren have a slight advantage in the infield of the ornate Mercedes Arena. This is the better fast Ferrari in the two passages. I would venture there is no forecast of who will be ahead at the end. At times this race again a "tactical goodies" could be. The Nurburgring is not just a line on which you like and get on well. But the long start / finish line with the disgusting almost 180 degree hairpin at the end are good for overtaking. Most of the front man but loses in the passages before it so much ground that he can not overtake. Tension is also where Toyota stands. The last race was one in the qualification ever doing well, had some bad luck in the race but as you know. Even when tested at Spa it was running well and it would not surprise me if you would take comfort in connecting the dots. On the other side of the ring the Toyotas has lain before.

ALMS - Mid Ohio
The guest ALMS at Mid-Ohio, a beautiful, fast but also very dangerous course, because the run-off areas do not exist practically. Recently, the ALMS is something set, that has to do with the fact that Motors TV from my unknown reasons, this Saturday's race this year is not shown live. Have no idea why, maybe the satellite on Saturday evening too expensive. The station seems to be not financially bed of roses and it does not look as if this improves. It is uncertain for what to spend money that you do have polls on your website, whether to transmit in 2008, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Obviously you want to insure themselves for what to spend money. This does not smell after that we will see more live racing again in 2008.
Another reason for the current problems of the ALMS is the use of the rule book. Once a manufacturer whines, it seems that one must be willing to change the rules. That led to this season that the LMP2 cars are suddenly faster than those of LMP1. From the perspective of the ALMS, an understandable step cavort in the LMP2 Acura and Porsche with two large producers, while Audi's LMP1 traveling alone. Meanwhile, the rules of the ALMS and the ACO, who care for the European version, so far apart that the LMP2 car at the 24H of Le Mans can not be used. All this is doing the sport no good.

Champ Car - Edmonton
The last race of the series was really something and the championship this year designed to be as exciting as never before. Bourdais is its listlessness and noted his accomplishments are quite weak, while drivers like Will Power and Robert Doornbos suddenly championship chances. In addition, a fairly rough driving style has crept into the series. You drive into the box as often as you would not even look at a Formula BMW race. Penalties are rare. The course looks at the screen well and the weakening rate, it also helps, but eventually things go wrong and sometimes right then it probably does hurt someone very much. Edmonton is once again an airfield race, but by the rather silly set walls is not harmless. The course is reasonably fast, but also uneven.

IRL - Mid Ohio
The IRL runs again with the ALMS, what does two championships certainly good. What are looking for insanely fast cars IRL but on the course, which as noted, almost no run-off areas has is a mystery to me. Well, now Watkins Glen is not exactly the safest course, but since you have at least pulled the barriers very high. The race could be another cause for road course drivers like Franchitti, Dixon, etc. to be.

And what else?
Those who missed the NASCAR: make this weekend break. It is the last weekend without a NASCAR Nextel Cup race until the end of the season at 18.11. Also on the move: GP2 and Porsche Supercup and the Busch Series. These repetitions on the V8 Supercars motor racing in Queensland. Boring it is not so.
